They Saved the Day!

A note from Jennifer and Steven:

We first heard of RockerDown through a friend of ours from Hope Community Church in Raleigh. We decided to contact them because they were a reliable option that we knew from being acquaintances.

RockerDown came through for us when we felt we could not trust wedding vendors and helped us persevere through the rest of our wedding planning period. We dealt primarily with Rusty who was flexible to work around our schedule and was able to arrange quick last minute photo shoots on the spot. He learned our preferred communication styles and included both of us in email messages.

Rusty is very passionate, professional and good at what he does. He was also flexible and willing to adjust to our preferences in many ways, including working with us on cost, meeting location, and wedding day events.

They were both professional and laid back, a good mix. They are very laid back and outgoing, wanting to know about us and our personality before the process began. Then when it came down to business they were very professional. Rusty directed the photo shoots with authority and direction in a positive attitude that allowed us to smile, laugh and enjoy the photos as they were being taken.

They stayed organized letting us have the final say in all decisions but taking a lead to keep us on track.

What were the biggest deciding factors in going with RockerDown? They are very reasonable with pricing and photo options. They are also very reliable, which we were desperate for at the time. Other photographers can be spontaneous and unreliable but the second we met with Rusty he took care of us and was a trusted, well-organized asset to our wedding plans.

We were pleasantly surprised on our wedding day too. The photography was great but they brought an extra skill to our wedding: knowledge. They knew based on experience the flow of weddings and were able to lead and in some ways direct our wedding when we didn’t have a wedding director nearby. When we were in question about edict and the flow of our wedding, of all our guests, Rusty stepped in and took charge helping us. They were professional but had smiles on their faces and encouraged fun and laughter in the midst of the seriousness of the event.

During the reception it was as if they weren’t even there. They blended into the background. I didn’t even see them until they directed us to take certain pictures. Even our guests were very satisfied with the quality of the work. He also helped our mothers feel calmer on our special day!

I would recommend RockerDown to anyone because It is hard to find someone who is trustworthy and good at what they do. Rusty has both qualities; he became a friend to us and is a reliable and talented photographer.

The final photos are great and the pictures were perfect illustrations of the romantic mood we were aiming for. One of the most surprising and fun parts of our day was our getaway car; we did not realize it would be such a beautiful car (a blue 1951 Cadillac). Right away, Rusty directed us toward the classic car where we took some of our favorite shots of the entire day. We got exactly what we asked for, and so much more. Thanks, Rusty!
