After 11 Years
After 11 years being scrappy, weird, and singularly focused on making the people who hired US look like Rock Stars to the person who hired THEM - I am looking back with a little sadness, because damn, we had fun. I had fun.
To every person who made my day glorious on a set, or planning an epic marketing video, or scouting locations, or collaborating on writing, THANK YOU for the last 11 years.
I know my decision to slowly close the RockerDown Creative Services doors is a weird one - so many people will never understand it - but I had a moment of clarity .- RockerDown grew a lot and VERY fast. And while I am born for that chaos - born to wrangle it and deliver in spite of the seeming instability - but I have always known I am as passionate about organizations that have moved past the forming and storming - and into the norming “rinse-and-repeat” flow.
No.
RockerDown wasn’t struggling, wasn’t losing clients, and I didn’t have a nervous break down. I simply made a decision to be true to myself, and focus on what I love.
Learning.
Developing complex media I don’t know how to do yet
Achieving the project goals through my creative application of graphic design and information design.
And now I am doing that at AWS…
BUT - RockerDown may not be a creative services company any longer - but it’s coming back soon.
